Well done to the FSK squad representing the Frontier Karate Association at this years British 4 Nations Championships in Leicester.
On the Saturday, Jasper Simmons, this year English bronze medalist took part in his first ever British event. Jasper was unlucky losing in his first round, although a little upset, is looking forward to trying again to better his results at the English Championships in 2019.
Hazel Flaherty, won a Bronze medal at this event 2 years ago and did one better winning silver medal in the under 21, losing to flags against Alexander Williams of X-Calibre.
Hazel later fought in the senior -68kg event and lost to Alex in the first round and fought for a Bronze medal and was unlucky to pick up another medal and finishing 5th.
David Thomas fought in the Mens +84kg event, David won a few rounds and fought A Uechi Ryu opponent. Both were in close range and his opponent picked him up and threw him, resulting on David landing on his shoulder and dislocating his collarbone and lost the fight,
David then fought in the fight off for a bronze medal, fighting with only one arm, was successful in securing a Bronze medal.
Final tally, 1 silver, 1 bronze and 1 5th place.
