FKA success at BUSA British University Karate Championships February 20th/21st 2016
FSK’s David Thomas wins British University Karate Heavyweight Men’s title.
David came through 6-0, 6-0, 2-0 to reach the final against a competitor from Karate Sport England/Karate England in the Senior +84kg division. He won the final in front of a good crowd on Sunday night.
David who is captain at Birmingham University and in his final undergraduate year was pleased with his first BUSA title. He was selected for the European University Championships later this year.
The championships held at Ponds Forge International Arena over the weekend of the 20th and 21st February 2016 see all University and college athletes competing for a place at the World University Championships being held in Portugal in August 2016. The Karate championships are being held from 10th-13th August.
