Association Squad Training – Rayleigh

32 members from 4 different clubs were present on Saturday 9th January for the first squad training of 2016. Our coaches were in full force in both kata and kumite.

The 2 hour session started with Sensei Paul Simmons taking the warm up, Sensei Anthoni Everitt worked on kicking and hook/stab drills to keep the opponent at bay. Sensei Sat followed with timing work on the Gyakuzuki and the event finished with some point fights for a chance for students to compete against one another and test their skills.

The session concluded with the naming of the full squad for next weekend for the English Kyu Grade National Championships in Sheffield.

On behalf of everyone at Frontier Karate Association, We wish the clubs, students and coaches every success next week!
