Bronze medal for Kobe at the Commonwealth Karate Championships for England

Kobe debut representing England at the Commonwealth Karate Federation Championships in Birmingham. In the Cadet -52kg, Kobe first opponent was Christina Winter from Trinidad & Tobago. Kobe controlled the fight and won a comfortable 3-0 and first fight win under his belt.

In the 2nd round he fought Joe Gallerghar from Scotland, Joe is the current European Silver medalist in this section, Kobe started the fight well with a Head kick to the face but no flags, Kobe got picked off and chased the fight to the end and just missed out on a place in the final.

Kobe had a chance to fight for a bronze medal in the repo-charge.

Kobe was against his Botswana opponent, SEMPIPENG KENNY showing great skills kicking in previous fights struggled against Kobe and was caught by a reverse punch by Kobe. Kobe managed to control the fight to the end and won 1-0 and taking the bronze medal for England.

An excellent outing in final competition in this age group representing his country.
